Session 3 - Fun in the Rain

posted Apr 19, 2012, 7:53 AM by Black Foot

Although Saturday was rainy and cold, our patrols had a lot of fun competing in 10 different challenges.

The Scoutmaster had to wait until 8 pm (when the rain ended) to get a tasty cup of smoked tea.

Session 2 - A Huge Success

Although the weather was not that warm, Session 2 was a great adventure for staff and learners.

Our 5 patrols are now trained in 10 different outdoor skills. They even had a chance to cook their own dinners and celebrated the evening with a truly entertaining campfire.

It was a long and successful day in the great outdoors.

The only sad news came when we got home, as the Buckeye's lost against Kansas. Maybe we should have stayed another day at Chief Logan.

Blackfoot 34 got a great start with 5 patrols and more than 30 aspiring scout leaders. Each of the patrols elected a patrol leader and came up with a patrol name.

Here they are (I hope the patrol names are now correct):
  • The Shoe Crew
  • 7 Shooting Stars
  • Cranky Buzzards
  • Casual Chameleons
  • Johnny 5
